Important Information for Girls
Hancock County Memorial Hospital Medical Providers are recommending vaccination with GARDASIL® to protect all girls and women ages 9 through 26 years of age.
GARDASIL® is a vaccination used to help protect against diseases caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, which is also known as HPV. HPV is a common virus that may develop into cervical cancer, precancerous lesions, and genital warts.
GARDASIL® is an injection and is given in 3 doses within a six month time period. We are strongly encouraging that all girls and women ages 9 through 26 be vaccinated with GARDASIL®.
GARDASIL® is not covered by all insurances at this time. We are hoping that in the near future, most insurance companies will cover it. Please check with your insurance company regarding their coverage of GARDASIL®.
We strongly encourage you to contact one of our clinics for an appointment to receive this vaccination. If you have any questions regarding GARDASIL®, please do not hesitate to contact us.
