HCMH Increases Surgical Services

Dr. Harry CondoleonHancock County Memorial Hospital (HCMH) is pleased to announce that Dr. Harry Condoleon, D.O., will begin providing surgical services at HCMH one day per week beginning in April. Dr. Condoleon joined the surgical staff at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona as a general surgeon in June of 2009. He will offer services in addition to those provided by Dr. Richard Unger and Dr. Abdi Ahari to increase surgical coverage at HCMH. Dr. Condoleon will also conduct surgical clinics at the Garner Medical Clinic approximately one day per month.

“We’re pleased that Dr. Condoleon will be available for our patients on a weekly basis,” said Vance Jackson, HCMH CEO/Administrator. “The increased availability between Dr. Condoleon, Dr. Ahari and Dr. Unger will provide excellent coverage for our surgical patients.”

Dr. Condoleon completed his medical training at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines after earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He completed his residency and an internship in Des Moines at Mercy Capitol Hospital, formerly called Des Moines General Hospital.

Dr. Condoleon most recently was practicing as a surgeon in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before his time in Las Vegas, he worked with Southwest Iowa Surgery in Atlantic, Iowa, and Surgical Affiliates in Des Moines. Dr. Condoleon and his wife Holli have five children and live in Algona.
